Lightsaber Battle Aftermath + space needed for Triforce party + more

http://www.newmindspace.com

Wow, what a night! The lightsaber battle was beautifully chaotic,
ridiculously massive, and surprisingly incredible (or incredibly
surprising!) There are excellent photos linked from this Laughing Squid
story, which you should totally Digg
:)

We learned a lot at this first-ever, brand new kind of event! If we do
another one in the future, we would like to get at least 4,000 tubes, a

*much*
bigger space, and a more organized distribution process. Next time,
everybody will safely get a tube, period.

As you may have realized, the sheer number of participants made it
impossible to collect donations, which was a major goal of ours. People
often ask, "How do you guys pay for this stuff?" Generally, we put the
costs of every event on credit and pray that we make it back through
online donations, for which we are extremely grateful! However, we're a

*long*
way from breaking even on this one, so please consider giving.
Every dollar helps!

Thank you
*so much*
to our dedicated volunteers, and thank you for coming

:)
Send us photos, video and memories, they'll be on Newmindspace.com
shortly!

PS - If you found a silver Kodak camera that says "Tiff" on the bottom in
purple, let us know!

*** HELP US FIND A SPACE FOR THE TRIFORCE ANNIVERSARY ***

For those of you who were there, Radical Illumination marked an amazing
night: It was the first collaboration between Newmindspace and two of our
favourite powerful and courageous crews, The Rothko Institute and
VelcroRocket (then-Uberkids), resulting in a wild romp through the city
and finally into a parking garage for a party that was literally
underground.

To celebrate one year of this unique partnership, which has brought you
events in the streets, vacant buildings and elsewhere, we are having a
party with some of Toronto's most talented DJ's, climbable sculpture,
installation art, intimate spaces and a banging dance floor. However, we
don't have a space!

Please help us find a large legal venue, a large quasi-legal loft space, a
giant self-storage centre, whatever, as long as we can do all-ages with a
licensed area and play music until morning, it'll work! The date we are
aiming for is the anniversary, December 8th. Admission should hopefully be
free with a costume, but we need a space!
:)
Thanks in advance!

*** RANDOMLAND ***

you!) can easily add themselves to the reduced list for RANDOMLAND, every
Friday at CiRCA, by visiting http://newmindspace.com/random

If last
Friday was your first trip, we hope you loved it. If you have any
