We will be riding the rocket to this event together once every tube is

*** VOLUNTEER PAINTING ON WEDNESDAY ***
Come paint the tubes with us! This is a mammoth task and we really need as
many people as we can get. Even an hour of your time would mean the world
to us
:)
We will be painting at:
1153 Queen St. W, east of Dufferin
>From 3pm - 8pm on Wednesday, November 14th
We will be in the alley between the east side of the building and the West
Side Lofts sales centre.
If you can't find us, call 416-875-4795, as we will be breaking for warm
drinks from time to time, or may just move into the backyard of 48 Abell
to continue painting.
If you have neon paint in pink, yellow, green or blue, or would like to
pick some up at Canadian Tire, that would be marvelous, but don't worry
about it. See you there!
*** LIGHTSABER BATTLE ***
By now you probably know the basic info, like:

Okay, here's how it's going to work!
We will distribute lightsabers, one or two at a time, while accepting
optional $2 or pay-what-you-can donations to cover the cost of the paint
and the future, LED-powered battle. Then, when it seems like everybody has
a tube, we will turn on the blacklights and the battle will begin!
Rules:
1. SWING LIGHTLY. The fun will last the longest if you duel gently,
hitting other tubes, not people so much!
2. NO STABBING. Really, be nice!
3. NOT THE NECK/FACE/HEAD! If you insist on hitting people lightly, please
keep it below the neck.
4. NO PHYSICAL CONTACT except displays of affection

5. COSTUMES ENCOURAGED, so bust out that Darth Vader helmet!
When the tubes are all broken, we will clean them up with your help, and
put them in the nearby recycling dumpster. Then, we will jump on the
subway and head to the afterparty!
Also, we really, really need a van or pickup truck of some kind to
transport the tubes around 7:00pm. Anybody?
Finally, it's never too early to donate! We still have a huge load of
paint to buy, and the more advance donations we receive, the fewer credit

*** OUR NEXT EVENT? ***
Stay tuned for our next event, diesel-powered leaf blower hockey. Just
kidding :P
In addition to our free, public, monthly events, we will be putting our
own unique twists on RANDOMLAND every Friday, so if you would like to come
check it out, we can put members of our community (that's you!) on the
reduced admission list whenever you like

We're not sure what December's event should be, but if you have any ideas
that you'd like us to try, let us know. Anything that is free, fun,
simple, public,
*not*
in a park, has a low entry level, and can easily
accommodate a few hundred people is a good idea!

Newmindspace, VelcroRocket (formerly ÜberKids) and The Rothko Institute.
