* 1. Raising Funds for The Imaginarium*

Newmindspace will always organize fun, free, public events at a rate of about one event a month. However, in the coming months, we will step up our fundraising efforts toward a dream we have had for over a year now: The Imaginarium. This means establishing a massive, public headquarters for Newmindspace and you're all invited! The Imaginarium will be a place of art, music, film and wild parties. It will be a space for ideas to grow.

In the coming months, we will be running fundraising events, soliciting donations, writing grants and selling Newmindspace-related goods like buttons, shirts & documentary DVD's. Also, we are looking for companies who will give us money to organize events for them toward this dream. If you have any leads (about either 2,000+ sqft spaces downtown, grants to apply for or companies needing events) let us know.

* 2. Pirates of the Streetcarrr Parrrty *

Ahoy! Mysterious mermaids and plundering pirates alike, join us as we weigh anchor and set sail upon the seven streets. Plunder Parkdale, hornswoggle High Park and swashbuckle in Seaton Village. Shake yer booty with buccaneers and scallywags from the briney deep. Grab yer grog 'n get ready to caper with the best! Yarrr! Come in costume, or ye be walkin' the plank!

Tickets:

$15 advance tickets will be available at Numb 250 Queen St. W and 2thebeat 161 Spadina Ave. starting tomorrow, July 18th. This event will quickly sell out (again)! All responsible ages.

Your ticket entitles you to reduced admission to "Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Jäger" presented by Nocturnal Commissions :) Ahrrr!

* 3. Newmindspace Documentary! *

The film "Into a Newmindspace" is now available in limited numbers on DVD! This documentary short features footage from Queen of Hearts, Pillow Fight NYC and Happy Birthday Subway Party, as well as interview footage with the two of us. Many of you are featured and we think the film is awesome!

* 5. Art Attack on Saturday *

For those of you not attending the World Electronic Music Festival this weekend, check out Art Attack at the Gladstone Hotel.

Toronto Public Space Committee presents: Art Attack

An evening of art-making, music and public space beautification. We will transform the Gladstone into an art factory complete with paper, art supplies and live music. Later in the evening we will move outdoors and place our fresh artwork over commercial advertising space. The city has sold visual expression rights in public space, and we're buying it back...for free!

Saturday July 22
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm making art at the Gladstone, 2nd floor
9:00 pm - 10:00 pm attacking ads on Queen Street
